CATALYST

Project CATALYST addresses the growing challenges in mental health and employability for young people aged 18 to 24, particularly those who are isolated or fall into the NEET category (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). The current digital age and dynamic labor market place enormous pressure on this generation, which often leads to psychological barriers and social exclusion. The project is primarily intended for disadvantaged youth, but also for young adults aged 25 to 30 who will become peer coaches, and youth workers who will gain new tools to support the mental well-being of those in their care.

The main contribution of the project is the introduction of an innovative peer career coaching method, which combines job searching with a deep understanding of mental health. Key outputs include a comprehensive training programme for coaches and a digital Mental Health Toolkit. In this way, CATALYST helps break down the stigmas associated with mental health issues and connects young people with job opportunities. The result will be not only an increase in the professional skills of the participants but, above all, a boost in their self-confidence and the creation of a sustainable support system that will facilitate their successful and stable entry into professional life.
